Ever Lost Track of A File?
you know it's there some where, but where. If you remember anything about the file, say the file extension you can search with a pattern like *.JPG (case does not matter) and all files with a .jpg extension will be displayed. If you know the approximate date you saved or updated the file you can click on the can click on the Header Last Update to order the display by the date it was stored or updated. If you know of a word or a part of a word in the file name you can use the Locate A File Function to filter the records displayed that contain that word.
More About The Search Pattern
If you examine the column marked Full Path you will see the full path to each file. When you enter your search pattern a entry of *.mov will show all files that have a extension of .mov regardless of the path. If you know that you store .mov files in a folder called family movie your search pattern could be *family*.mov which would show any file which has the word “family” anywhere in the path and a ext of .mov
